About Us
iMeta Training was founded in 2023 in Birmingham with a simple mission: create accessible, high-quality training opportunities for everyone, no matter your starting point.
Our small team of trainers, learner support staff, employment and recruitment officers and operations experts have decades of experience in adult education. We recognise and remove the barriers that many adults face in the West Midlands, from financial hardship to childcare difficulties, to managing neurodivergence and addressing confidence and self-esteem.
We deliberately provide opportunities to train in fast-growing sectors, ensuring that learners have clear pathways for progressing their careers and education after they complete their course. 8 out of 10 of our learners move onto new jobs in their chosen field, secure a promotion, or continue into further education at university or through an apprenticeship.
After succeeding in our mission in our hometown, we have made the exciting choice to offer our services to the rest of the UK, providing self-funded opportunities that offer the flexibility, affordability and quality that hard-working people need to continue their professional development.

Beyond the virtual classroom, iMeta does so much more than get learners through the door. To be the best provider we can be, we are always looking for ways to improve and develop our services.
Our team regularly attend local and national events to learn about the latest sector developments, skills and education provisions, and social initiatives.
Our monthly Ask the Expert Events connects our current and past cohorts with a top employment provider, so they can ask their deep, burning questions about the industry, and build their network.
We host interactive webinars with members of our Employer Advisory Board, so there can impart insider knowledge about their sectors, and give exclusive advice on improving your employability that you won’t find anywhere else.
Our Process
We recruit award-winning tutors with fluent knowledge of their course and its content. All tutors have significant professional experience in their subjects and can show learners how what their learn works in practice, not just in theory. Learners are given specially designed projects and labs to complete throughout their course to improve their understanding and develop their skills to be job-ready.
We deploy a dedicated progressions officer to every course cohort, to be with their learners from day one and offer any kind of help they need, be it academic, career-based, or more personal. The team also hosts regular webinars on employability and developing soft skills, including CV building, improve confidence, managing conflict and more.
Our employer engagement team foster employer partnerships and curate jobs opportunities for our learners, introducing opportunities to apply toward the latter half of every course. They also host career events to help learners build networks and gain industry knowledge from organisations looking for people with their skills.
Our operations team quickly handle the examination booking and certification process, so learners can easily sit their required exams for qualifications and access their certificates for CV and interview purposes.

No, iMeta is a standalone training provider. We are funded via the West Midlands Combined Authority and Department of Education to deliver our free courses. Our government backing allows us to stay focused on delivering a high-quality, personalised experience. We are an approved delivery provider of PeopleCert, who authorise our self-funded project management courses.
For our self-funded courses, we accept payments via credit/debit card via Stripe and offer payment instalment plans depending on your eligibility. If you're applying for funded training, your course is completely free with extra or hidden costs.
